Gardai are examining the scene of a serious fire which started at a community centre in south Dublin in the early hours of Thursday.
The fire broke out at the community facility in Killinarden, Tallaght at approximately 2.30am.
Dublin Fire Brigade were alerted to the blaze by Gardai after a patrol in the area spotted heavy smoke.
Three fire crews were sent to the fire and eventually extinguished the blaze, but were forced to use breathing apparatus such was the intensity of the smoke.
Gardai confirmed this morning that nobody was injured as a result of the fire.
A Garda spokesperson said: ‘Gardai are investigating a fire at a property in Killinarden, Tallaght, Dublin which occurred on September 3, 2020 at approximately 2.30am.
‘No injuries were reported. The scene has been preserved for technical examination.
